Position Overview
We are seeking a people-centric HR Generalist to help us build, support, and retain our most valuable asset: our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the entire employee lifecycle—from the moment a candidate applies to their continued growth within the company.
You will be the bridge between management and employees, ensuring that our workplace remains compliant, productive, and, most importantly, a place where people love to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Lead the orientation process for new hires to ensure a warm welcome and handle all exit procedures for departing employees.
- Benefits & Payroll Administration: Act as the point of contact for employee questions regarding health insurance, 401(k)/retirement plans, and leave requests (PTO, FMLA, etc.)
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor for employees and managers, helping to resolve conflicts, conduct investigations, and foster a positive work culture.
- Policy & Compliance: Maintain and update the Employee Handbook, ensuring the company stays compliant with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Performance Management: Assist in the annual performance review process and support managers in creating professional development plans for their teams.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate digital employee records (HRIS) and generate reports on turnover, hiring metrics, and demographics.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in an HR role (Generalist or Coordinator level).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification: PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP certification is a strong plus.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of employment laws (e.g., EEO, FLSA, ADA) and HR best practices.
- Soft Skills: High level of emotional intelligence, discretion with confidential information, and excellent conflict-resolution skills.
- Systems: Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Gusto, Workday) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
